Solid Subfloor

The studio’s 2×6 subfloor promises to be quite solid.

One of the very interesting things about our home in Edmonton is that the builder built its subfloor using 2x6s instead of the usual 5/8″ plywood. This has meant solidness that I’ve really enjoyed from our floors. And, since we got a bundle of 2x6s from reStore West, this turned out to be the better (and even the cheaper) option for the studio’s subfloor.

With the insulation cut and squeezed into place, and our 2×6 subfloor installed, the studio is off to a very solid start.
